About Iskenderun  Iskenderun, in the olden times known in the west as Alexandretta, is located in the

province of

Hatay in the Turkish Mediterranean shoreline. History relates that Alexander the Great founded

Iskenderun in 333 BC. Today, with the appearance of numerous hotels, restaurants, espresso bars lined along the Mediterranean coast, Iskenderun is acknowledged as an active commercial focus of

Turkey. Because of its location along the Mediterranean region, Iskenderun is also accepted as a valuable and historic port on the Mediterranean coast of

Turkey.

Iskenderun had a small part in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and there are more reasons to visit this place aside from the chance of visiting the site shortly featured in the said film.
